A fresh new approach was required to reinvigorate B&K Universal’s corporate branding, as their existing identity did not reflect them as an innovative, cutting edge company.
BKU is a specialist international company within the field of laboratory animal science and biotechnology. Our brief was to modernise their current branding so that it was more engaging.
BKU has a business that draws very strong opinion; providing accessories and kit for laboratory testing. It wasn’t a project we undertook lightly and therefore a considered creative mind was required.
Concentrating on the life that is saved thanks to the knowledge gained from testing, the idea of using a drop of blood to be a “drop of life” was developed. This drop was than incorporated into all sectors of the business offering, keeping everything as one voice, whilst the bold, complementary colours play an important role in differentiating the sectors quickly.
The new branding was implemented on business cards, letter heads, compliment slips and brochures which was all handled as part of our print management service.
We’re genuinely proud of the work created, not only for the powerful visual brand designs we produced, but also tackling the psychological preconceptions of this controversial practice.
